How are you planning to protect your baby's skin against the sun?
Baby skin is thinner than adult skin and more vulnerable to UV damage, needing year-round protection from the sun. Your baby's skin "remembers" each exposure it has to UV, and this builds up throughout their lifetime.
As a loving parent, you'll want to start your baby's lifelong routine of sun protection soon after they are born. Unlike ordinary muslins (which let through most UV rays), musluv sun protection baby covers provide UPF 50+ sun protection, and properly shield your baby’s skin all year long.
Finding a baby sun shade solution
Is there any other UPF 50+ sun protection baby cover like this?
"I've looked for a long time for a convenient way to protect her skin - this fits the bill perfectly."
Natalie, Goffs Oak
How much sun protection will a musluv cover provide my baby?
"I didn't realise that ordinary muslins don't give sun protection. Hopefully others get to know this."
Will my baby get too hot if I use the musluv cover?
"The cover keeps my baby much cooler than other sun shades I've tried which are synthetic"
How do I keep the baby cover securely in place?
"I love the ties as makes it easy to use the cover elsewhere, such as my son's travel cot."
Are there any chemicals that could affect my baby?
"Davyn is teething terribly and adores sucking on his cover so I love the fact it's non-toxic."
Tammy, Tweeds Head
Will my baby be comfortable using the musluv cover?
"Normally my baby's skin gets easily irritated, but the musluv cover is soft and we use it everyday."

5 ways to use a musluv baby cover
I was worried that the material might shrink after washing, but found that it didn’t shrink or change colour, which is fantastic! I love the size of it! It means I can cover the whole pram (and more importantly, my son's feet) when we are out. I would recommend this product, without a doubt! I don't go out without it if I know my son will nap away from home. He's become so used to it, he knows it's nap time as soon as I take it out of the bag. It's practical and attractive, folds away neatly and is literally wash and use. I love it!
– Kim, mum of Ethan (18 months' old)
I was wondering if it would be worth the price but have used it so much already, it’s definitely worth it. You can't put a price on protecting your bub's skin. My musluv cover lives under my pram in the basket and I can grab it whenever I need it. I use it at the park, at the beach, to cover the pram, to wrap Remi and when I am nursing him. It feels more durable than other muslins. Being a new mum, I have noticed how certain products can make your day easier and really put your mind at ease - yours is one of them!

A nursing cover, pram shade cover, and even a wrap or sheet – the Musluv sun protection baby cover does it all. The cover is the first of its kind to launch. Each muslin cover is treated with a unique UV treatment, helping the fabric fibres absorb into the fabric, instead of passing through to skin. This clever fabric treatment blocks over 97 per cent of harmful UVA and UVB rays. Amazing!
It was my daily habit with my newborn. Baby goes in pram. Muslin wrap goes over pram. Baby is now safe and protected from ’sneeze-spray’ and the harsh sun. Oh how wrong I was! The first baby muslin covers in Australia with UPF 50+ have just been launched, bringing to light how utterly useless my thin wrap was at protecting my precious baby girl. It has handy ties to tie it securely.
Some sunscreen brands have recently suffered a backlash from worried parents. But the Cancer Council say that confusion on how to apply sunscreen is the problem. So how do you know whether you are applying it properly?
One of the first things a parent (or parent-to-be) will buy is a pram or stroller so that they and their newborn can enjoy being outdoors when the weather is nice. But did you know that special considerations apply to sun care and babies?
